Celia Merritt is a Senior Loan Officer with Edge Home Finance and the founder of Celia Mortgage Team. She began her mortgage career in 2003 on the wholesale processing side, gaining valuable insight into how loans are structured, reviewed, and brought successfully to closing.

Celia also dedicated 17 years to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, retiring as a lieutenant in 2022. Throughout her fire service career, she remained connected to the mortgage industry before ultimately returning to lending full-time. Her unique background shaped the calm, resourceful, and service-focused approach she brings to every client relationship.

Today, Celia is known for clear communication, creative problem-solving, and helping clients confidently navigate a wide range of financing needs. From first homes and refinances to second homes, investment properties, bridge financing, and complex loan scenarios, Celia enjoys working with every type of borrower to help with their unique needs.
